Despatch Times

We aim to despatch most tools and new boxed parts within 1-3 working days of receipt of your order. This depends on current stock, whether goods have to be ordered from a supplier, manufacturer or custom built. Custom built parts may take anything from 4-8 weeks and you should be aware of this when placing an order. Finally, for second-hand parts, they may need to be removed from the vehicle and checked before supply. If this is the case you will be sent an email notification. You may cancel your order at any time but its a condition of trading with us that you agree that for us to provide the services we do, there may be a delay in shipping your items as part of their very specific nature, and you do agree to this when agreeing to our terms and conditions. Thus, if you cancel an order we reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee. Custom orders are incapable of cancellation as we will have already paid for construction of your goods to your specifications. For this reason we may refuse to accept PayPal for custom build orders as PayPal allows cancellation of a contract at any time.

Stock Availability

New products are assumed to be in stock at our suppliers and are ordered up as you place your order. For second-hand products, we always try to hold a single item of each listed itemready to ship. If we have listed more than one product then unless a mistake has been made, we will have stock but the part may not yet have been removed from the vehicle concerned if its a second-hand part. This can take anything from 3 days to 3 weeks dependent on the nature of the part.

Fair Use Policy

We expect to be selling products to owner/mechanics who are working on their own vehicles, or to garages looking for hard-to-find parts. Its not our expectation to provide parts at low cost to resellers who will then sell them onwards on popular auction sites.

Therefore we reserve the right if we believe products are being bought for this purpose, to reject multiple orders of the same item. Sometimes the site will prevent you from buying more than one of a particular item; if you run into this issue, this is the reason. Simply contact us by phone and we can amend things to suit; equally we reserve at all times our rights to cancel any sale believed to be made by an acquisitions or speculating company.

Shipment Methods

Unless otherwise agreed, shipments are made by the most economical method and all goods are combined to one shipment. The postage or shipping price paid on the website reflects not only the cost of shipment but of packing the item, and of the packing materials themselves.

Our shipments do not unless otherwise agreed, include insurance for the full replacement value of the goods. This can be purchased additionally when you place your order and is generally 5% of the order value.

When shipping rare and irreplaceable parts we would always recommend you purchase additional shipping insurance; equally we respect the fact that most customers given the choice, would rather take the risk than pay the sometimes exorbitant fees most couriers charge. Therefore we do not include this as standard because it would make our shipments appear overpriced compared to other companies.

We build in enough to insure most goods and will always cover at our cost if we are able to, but in the case of very small/light items (insurance goes by weight up to a limit) which are worth a lot, we may contact you to suggest additional insurance but are under no obligation to do so.
